The
Chadwicks are an Arizona based cover
band that has been performing consistently since
1994. Playing songs ranging from Neil Diamond’s
‘Sweet Caroline’ to Rage Against the Machine’s
‘Killing in the Name’, they have concentrated
on staying current with new songs on the alternative
radio stations as well as learning classic rock
songs.
The
Chadwicks are currently sponsored by
Miller
Genuine Draft and have performed at such
events as SummerFest in Milwaukee, The Tostito’s
New Years Eve Block Party (3 times), and Phoenix
Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks games. They have
also played every Thursday night at Martini
Ranch in Scottsdale for over six years,
as well as many other night clubs around Arizona.
Rumor has it, they are working on some original
material, too.
The
Chadwicks originated in Tempe, AZ in
the fall of 1994 when Drummer, Gary Sanchez,
and Bassist, John Colby, decided to put
together a band that could play a wide variety
of Rock’n’Roll songs. They recruited local guitarist,
Allan
Chadwick because he had
the ability to play anything. Then they found
a singer, Scott MacDonald, who could also sequence
keyboard and horn parts. After a couple of months
and less than ten shows, Scott was replaced
by Tim Teal, Gary and John’s former singer
in a previous band (Method U).
The
band would maintain the same line-up for the
next seven years, until the summer of 2002,
when Allan decided to pursue other endeavors.
Gary, John, and Tim recruited their guitarist
from Rock Lobster (their eighties band formed
in 1995 as a side project). Dallan Baumgarten
had been flying in from Los Angeles every Saturday
to play in Rock Lobster for about two years,
as well as playing in an original band in LA
(Big
Love) and touring with the band, Berlin.
It was a natural fit and The Chadwicks
haven’t missed a beat. |
